Presentation to Russian, Kazakhstanian and Tajikistanian geoscientists

On the 10th June, in celebration of the 15th anniversary of "VVS-Engineering", the traditional international seminar "TESTING 2016" was undertaken with the assistance of the Ural Chamber of Commerce. Organized by LLC "VVS-Engineering" one of the key presentations featured Craig Hamlyn from Ore Research & Exploration. The seminar was attended by representatives of Russia, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan. Russian speakers presented the research and production of the following leading educational and research institutions: USMU, UNIIM, OCM-ENGINEERING, PerkinElmer and VVS-Engineering. TESTING 2016 covered the following topics:

  • Methodical based sampling of ore at various controlled parameters, ALSTO equipment for sample preparation, CRM sample prep and analysis, metrological support protocols, sample preparation and weighing in a stream, statistical methods in sampling, weigh conveyors measuring flow density, geological and technical audit of mining companies, problems of coarse gold, review of foreign studies, quality assurance of measurement results, calculation of equipment and sample preparation schemes for laboratories, calibration of equipment for assay laboratories, testing and integration of automation in sample preparation, economic evaluation of correct sampling and weighing.

Closing of the seminar was marked by a visit to a test laboratory, singing the anthem VVS-Engineering, viewing a theatrical performance and a yachting regatta on the open spaces of the Upper Iset Lake. Click here to see Russian translation and view pictures.
